Jazz singer songwriter Ori Dagan’s latest single and music video “Clap on the 2 and the 4” has been screened at 15 festivals worldwide from Poland to the Cayman Islands and won 7 awards including “Best Educational Short Film” at the New York Jazz Film Festival and “Best Children’s Song” at the Hollywood Songwriting Contest. The performance at Poetry Jazz Café will include a preview of Dagan’s upcoming release “Nathaniel” in tribute to Nat King Cole, a collection of originals and standards with guests Sheila Jordan, Jane Bunnett and Alex Pangman.

With pipes aplenty, JUNO nominated “Canada’s Sweetheart of Swing” Alex Pangman possesses the requisite taste, talent and the historical knowledge of an avid record collector to breathe new life into the sturdy standards of the classic jazz era. In addition to her dedication to recording and performing jazz of the 1930s, as a two-time double lung transplant recipient Pangman is an avid advocate for organ donation.
